Come Celebrate the legend of Anna Achkmetova, and the present life of exiles through poetry and verse.  Read a poem of Achkmetova or a poem written on the theme of "Exile". May 29; Free.

Three nights of poetry and film at the Hotel Cosmo, 761 Post Street, San Francisco: May 13--Jeanne Powell & Phillip T. Nails, May 20--Short Film Night, May 27--Richard Stockton.  6 pm to 8 pm. Tickets: $3.

The Vampire Tour of San Francisco
SF Vampire Tours will be hosting a special showing of the movie "Van Helsing" at the Lowes Theater at the Metreon. There will be a costume contest at 7:30 pm, followed by the movie at 8:30 pm. The grand prize for the costume contest will be a night in one of the haunted rooms at the Nob Hill Inn, which is one of the stops on the Vampire Tour.
